Silver Lining, aka Wasabi, is a 16.1hh, senior Trakehner gelding by Asher. Wasabi has had an extensive show career in both the hunters and the jumpers and is ready to teach his next rider!
Wasabi is incredibly smooth and user friendly for both children and adults on the flat with a clean canter departure, automatic lead change, and slow steady rhythm at all gaits. Over fences, he is a great teacher. He knows his strides, understands all the different questions and options, and is ready to execute whatever you tell him to, even if the ride is slightly off.
For 3 years, he took his owner from her first shows over cross rails to the Silver level 2'3 ft ring including C Equitation where is he regularly in the ribbons and responsible for his rider's first handful of tri-colour finishes. He also regularly gets a piece of the the hack in any company. In 2024, Wasabi had a podium finish at Silver Playoffs in the 2'3 Children's Hunter and was the winner of the Classic. This year, he introduced yet another new rider to horse showing and pinned every time out in the cross rail division.
At this time, Wasabi has light preventative maintenance due to his age, but has a great baseline soundness without. His owners would prefer him to stay doing a job 2'0 and under because of his age. He currently lives in and is shod in front. He is up to date on everything and does everything a show horse should do with no stress. He is the same off property as at home, but depending on the level of rider, benefits from a bit of prep that is easy to do and provides very consistent results when done.
