Sass is a 2008, 15.2hh, quarter horse mare. Comes from registered stock. Previous experience as a ranch horse and head horse. Very broke to ride- you can push cattle, open gates, side pass, and go to work on her. She has a solid stop, canter departure, neck reins, and very smooth, beginner friendly gaits. No prep needed, pull her out of the field and go. Ride her as much or as little as you want, she's always the same.

She's super easy and comfortable to ride and has been faithfully taking her novice owner around the arena for the past few years. Very easy keeper- sound barefoot, only eats hay and requires no maintenance. Currently excelling as a breakaway horse- back her into the corner and she'll give you the exact same run every time. Good in the box, tracks the calf without guidance, rates well. Beginner friendly and would make a super horse to introduce someone to the sport of roping or as a no hassle practice horse.

This mare is priced VERY affordably for how good she does her job because, despite how easy she is to ride, she's got some quirks. Firstly, she does not love trail riding. If you can ride her, you can push her out there, but she'll sit on the muscle and isn't quite the "saddle bags and coolers" type. Secondly, she has had some kind of bad experience with handling her head and ears and will not take a a bridle over her head. Due to her age, we respect this quirk by undoing her cheek pieces and fasten it like you would a halter. Done this way, she's simple enough to bit up with no drama.
