Blue Mirage
AVAILABLE FOR LEASE
Blue Mirage, or Casper in the barn, is a 2018, 16.1hh paint x warmblood gelding available for lease. Casper is gentle, safe ride with solid show experience. He has competed for the past 4 years in the jumper ring up to .85m with his amateur owner and has won and tricoloured a handful of times at the bronze and silver level proving to be capable and handy. Casper has also dabbled in eventing & dressage. He has solid flatwork and lead change.
Same horse day to day makes him a safe and reliable partner to learn to compete. He is still a bit on the green side and would best suit an intermediate rider. He has just started gaining experience this year in the teaching role and took a novice JR around her first .65m courses.
Owner is starting school this fall and is looking to find for Casper a solid program where he can either continue to be developed at the .75/.85m level or he can step into a teaching role at the .65m. Casper would also be suited as a hunter with an easy lead change and stylish enough flatwork to be a silver hunter, but he has limited exposure to that ring.
Casper is an easy keeper with no special care or maintenance required outside of body work, front shoes, and some sun protection measures. Easy gelding to handle & get along with and does everything a show horse should do.
Lease price in the low to mid FOUR range, depending on the job & can be discussed.
Priority is a great match & home. Reputable show barns only. There is also room to join our team at Durham Valley Equine which also will receive special consideration.
