Bijou is a 2017, 16.1h thoroughbred mare available for sale. Bijou had a race career where she did reasonable well and retired sound after a modest career. She has been to a few horse shows, including Angelstone, doing well her first few times out in the low jumpers. Bijou recently came to our program for marketing after a little bit of time off due to owner's school schedule, so we are currently legging her up and working on some of her flat work and pole work foundation.

She has travelled around a bit and is generally unbothered by busy/loud environments and she seems honest with no buck, bolt, rear, or negative behaviours.

This mare has a clean PPE and does not require special maintenance or diet. Currently lives in and wears fronts. Gets along well with one other mare.

Bijou is still considered green but is an affordable prospect for the hunter/jumper ring who already has a few ring miles under her belt and has proven she can get the job done. We would recommend at least an intermediate rider to continue to educate this mare on expectations, but is kind enough for a future teaching role and athletic enough for a sport career.
